Does Casper mattress contain fiberglass, and should I be worried about that?
Casper mattresses are manufactured to the highest standards and provide unparalleled comfort. To satisfy federal flammability standards for mattresses, certain models of Casper mattresses contain a knit fire sock comprised in part of materials containing continuous filament (single-strand) fiberglass. Only certain Casper products contain fire socks with enclosed fiberglass materials. These fire socks encase the foam cores that make Casper mattresses so comfortable, are enclosed by a separate outer cover, and are designed to minimize the risk of fiberglass exposure. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the government agency charged with overseeing the safety of consumer products, has acknowledged that the “continuous filament” fiberglass used in textiles and fire-resistant barriers (like in Casper’s products) is not considered hazardous. Casper customers can rest assured that their Casper mattresses are safe and contain high-quality, non-hazardous, fire-resistant materials. The Casper One, Cloud One, Dream Hybrid, Snow Hybrid, Dream Max, and Snow Max Mattresses are all fiberglass-free.
Once I take my mattress out of the box, how long does it take to expand?
Once you take your mattress out of the box, let the mattress unroll in the plastic wrap. Once it’s lying flat, you can remove the plastic wrap and the mattress will be ready for bedtime within minutes! Casper mattresses may take up to 72 hours to expand to their true dimensions. Our Snow and Snow Max are made entirely of memory foam and may take longer to expand as they are made entirely of memory foam.
Do Casper mattresses sleep hot?
Our mattresses are specifically designed to sleep cool. We run thermal imaging tests and sweat tests to make sure our mattresses feel nice and breezy throughout the night to keep you comfortable. If you get hot at night, the Snow or Snow Max mattress might be your best bet. They have a cool-to-the-touch feeling thanks to our Snow Cover™, and keep you cool all night with our HeatDelete Bands™ (graphite cooling bands) that constantly pull heat away from underneath the body for sustained temperature regulation.
